The primary purpose of the IT Strategic Analyst role is to work with our clients to develop a deep understanding of their business needs and translate those needs into comprehensive solutions.  As this position entails presenting strategies and solutions to C-level executives and management teams, it requires a visionary approach to business and the ability to identify technology trends that support business objectives.  This will involve the development of IT technology roadmaps that will include IT engagement and architecture, technical direction, development pipeline, system and user efficiency, user training and self-sufficiency, security and reliability.  Success is dependent on exemplifying Solūt values by constantly learning and developing skills, relationships and consistently delivering on commitments.

 Our ideal candidate offers:

  • Completion of a recognized post-secondary program in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or Business, preferably in Business Administration
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (i.e. Business Analyst, Project Management or IT Management)
  • In-depth understanding of information systems, platforms and new technologies and their capability to support business strategies and growth
  • A proven track record of strategic planning, change management and execution
  • Basic programming fundamentals including database knowledge & reporting tools (SQL queries a must)
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite, in particular Excel and Viso
  • Strong analytical skills & troubleshooting capabilities along with a solutions-driven attitude
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Customer service focus with a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to engage effectively across multi-disciplinary stakeholders
  • An eye for detail and reputation for meticulous and accurate work
  • Ability to multi-task (manage multiple tasks across multiple projects)
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes extra hours depending on project requirements and deadlines
